【大紀元2016年06月18日訊】英國第一位登上國際太空站的宇航員蒂姆．皮克（Tim Peake），完成186天在太空站的科學研究任務後，週六上午返回地球。
CNN網站6月18日報導，英國宇航員皮克乘坐聯盟號宇宙飛船（Soyuz capsule）於週六（6月18日）上午東部標準時間5時15分，安全降落哈薩克斯坦（Kazakhstan），與他同行的還有俄羅斯宇航員尤里．馬連琴科（Yuri Malenchenko）和美國宇航員蒂莫西．柯帕拉（Timothy Kopra）。
今年44歲的皮克在返回地球前推文表示：「這是多麼令人難以置信的旅程，感謝在地球的各位相隨。」
在太空站六個月的時間，皮克創下多個歷史紀錄，包括以跑步機參加倫敦馬拉松賽，以3小時35分21秒成績，刷新太空馬拉松紀錄，並列入吉尼斯世界紀錄；另外在太空開辦遠程科學教學，聽課的學童多達30萬人。
上個月皮克接受CNN訪問時說：「首次升空後不久，往下看地球，感覺很奇特，實在太壯觀了。」
幼時就愛上太空的皮克表示：「還是小男孩時，我經常抬頭望著星星，想了解宇宙以及太陽系，深深著迷太空世界。」
