整個地球，水域占絕大部分地區，乃有許多島的出現。海中小島固然是島，大的陸地，即使是亞洲、非洲、澳洲或大洋洲，又何嘗不是島？島和洲本來就是可以互相發明的。
不管那是人文匯聚的文明島，是充滿寶藏的金銀島，是荒蕪的無人島，是風沙亂飛的風沙島，是美麗的珊瑚島，是人跡罕至的神秘島，是島，它就是航海者所樂見的。它常常是航海者休息或補充資料的地方。
如果說海是一片廣大無邊的沙漠，那麼一個個島便是這沙漠中的一塊塊綠洲，予枯燥荒蕪加上活潑生氣，點綴上一簇簇綠意……。
如果說海是一片蔚藍深邃的天空，那麼一個個島便是藍空中的一顆顆星顆，不時眨著它們晶瑩的眸子，閃爍著溫和的光芒……。
如果說海是沉思者沉思的界域，那麼島便是靈思感悟的精光，一線閃爍，便有無限喜悅的火花激射而出，便見無限智慧之光……。
當一個人在漫漫的長夜中等待著黎明的到來，終於聽見了數聲雞啼，或看見了幾線曙光，會有多高興！同樣的，當航海者在廣大無邊的茫茫大海上航行，枯寂無聊難耐，終於發現了島，會有多高興！
當一個人迷失在深山中的廣大森林，一次一次地尋找試探出路，卻一直無法如願，而終於聽到了別人的講話聲，會有多高興！島是航海者寂寞獨行中的親切微笑或招呼。
島，它是人類所不能離開，更是航海者所期盼樂見的地方。有多少美滿、溫馨、慰安、快樂和嚮往在其中！
The Isle Hsu ChiCheng
The water territory holds most part of the globe, therefore it appears many of the islands. Of course, the islet among the sea is the isle, the large land even Asia, Africa, Australia or Oceania, how isn’t it the isle? Isle and continent can be invention originally.
In spite of it’s the isle of humanity, the island where full of treasure, the unmanned island where lies waste, the dust-laden wind island where the dust-laden wind flies wildly, the beautiful coral island, the lonely magic island, if it’s the island, the sailor will like to see it. It often is the place for the sailor to take a rest or supply the means.
If we say the sea is a part of extensive desert, then the island one after one is a piece after a piece of oasis, adds vitality to dull and dry, adorns on a cluster and a cluster of greenness.
If we say the sea is a vernal sky, , then the island one after one is star in the blue sky, winks the crystalline eyes, sparkles the warm radiance…
If we say the sea is the bound of the muse of the thinker, then the island is the shiny light dexterous think, there are sparks of joy limitless which shot out as there is a string of sparkling, and appears the light of wisdom limitless…
When a person hear some crows of the chicken eventually after waiting for the arrival of the dawn during the very long night, or see some strings of dawn, how happy he will! As the same, when the sailor navigates on the vast sea limitless, lonely, helpless, dull, he finds an island eventually, how happy he will!
When a person lost road in the wide forest within remote mountains, he tries to seek for exit many times, but failure, and hears the sound of speaking eventually, how happy he will! The island is the sincere smile or beckon as a sailor solitary in his navigation.
Island, it’s a place which human can’t depart, the more the sailor wishing to see. There dwells how much satisfactory, warmth, console, happy and longing! @
