【大紀元2021年01月07日訊】（大紀元記者徐綉惠洛杉磯報導）香港國安處於1月6日（週三，香港時間）實施大抓捕，拘捕逾50名民主派立法會初選參選人及初選主辦者和倡議者，指控他們「顛覆國家政權」，此為「港版國安法」實施迄今最大規模的抓捕行動。
洛杉磯香港論壇（Hong Kong Forum, Los Angeles）與全球各地關注香港議題的58個團體發表聯合聲明，共同呼籲國際社會關注中共強制實施「國安法」，阻止中共持續挑戰民主國家。所有參與簽署的團體將會敦促自己所在國的政府，譴責中共在香港的暴行，同時呼籲對中共政府實施具體制裁。
根據「港版國安法」第22條所載，「任何人組織、策劃、實施或者參與實施以下以武力、威脅使用武力，或者其它非法手段旨在顛覆國家政權行為，即屬犯罪，對首要分子或者罪行重大的，可處無期徒刑或者十年以上有期徒刑。」這也就意味著，所有參選香港立法會初選的民主派議員，或是社會活動家，都有可能因此被逮捕。
1961 年 8 月 12 日，在蘇聯策畫下，東德當局決定趁美國政府當時相對沉默的態度採取行動，於 24 小時內架設了 140 英里的障礙物，這堵牆阻隔了西方民主自由與社會主義專制的兩個世界，隔日被稱為「鐵絲網星期日」（Barbed Wire Sunday）；香港則於 1 月 6 日剛剛迎來了它的港版「鐵絲網星期三」。
該聲明強調：「香港的損失並非偶然，它是對全世界民主國家的持續挑戰。全球必須在為時未晚前站出來對抗中共。」
洛杉磯香港論壇成員林先生表示，近幾個月來，中共對香港政治異議人士的鎮壓不斷升級。他說：「現在的香港已完全沒有言論自由。任何公開批評香港政府或北京中央的言論都會被消音。」而且據不斷擴大的《香港國家安全法》規定，不論你是什麼國籍，只要曾批評過香港或中共破壞民主、人權議題，都有可能被逮捕。
林先生表示，現在全球的新聞焦點都在美國大選，所有人都在關注華府的動向。他說：「我們不會懈怠，香港的問題也不會被忽略，待議會討論結束、美國社會環境冷靜後，在美國的聲援香港組織會繼續遊說兩黨國會議員，針對香港人提供庇護與制裁中共。」
林先生認為，不論是共和黨或民主黨執政，美國都會繼續支持香港，抵制中共踐踏民主法治。
