A﹕John, did you clean your room today?

John, did you clean your room today?“Did”是“do”的过去时﹐在这里是助动词﹐只起语法作用。句子中的动词用原形﹐也就是字典里的形式。因为did这个字已经说明了句子的时态。”clean” 的意思是打扫，“room”的意思是房间﹐这句话的意思就是约翰﹐你打扫你的房间了吗﹖
你们可以用这个句形问很多问题。例如﹕
