Billionaire U.S. investor Warren Buffett has given Japan’s battered stock market a boost, saying the rebuilding will take time, but it has not changed his view of the country’s prospects.
美国亿万富翁投资家沃伦‧巴菲特，提振了重创的日本股市，他说重建需要时间，但这并未改变他对该国前景的看法。

“It will take some time to rebuild. But it will not change the economic future of Japan. So if I owned Japanese stocks, I would certainly not be selling them because of the events of the last ten days or so.”
投资家沃伦‧巴菲特说：
“这将需要一段时间才能重建。但它不会改变日本经济的未来。所以如果我持有日本股票，我肯定不会因过去10天左右的事件，就卖掉它们。”
The Japanese stock market fell ten percent last week, as authorities battled a nuclear crisis that required yen intervention to stabilize the currency.
上周日本股市下跌10%，因为当局正与核能危机奋战，需要干预日元以稳定货币。
Buffett adds the crisis creates a buying opportunity, not unlike previous situations he has seen before.
巴菲特补充说，危机创造了一个买进的机会，与他之前看过的情况相同。

“Frequently something out of the blue like this, an extraordinary event, really creates a buying opportunity. I’ve seen that happen in the United States, I’ve seen that happen around the world, and I don’t think Japan will be an exception.”

“往往像这样出乎意料的事，一件特别的事件，真的会创造一个买进机会。我见过这种情况发生在美国和世界各地，我不认为日本将会是例外。”

【英文说文解字】
各位读者好：
这是一则财经新闻，但是谈灾难对金融股票市场的影响。
在财经新闻中，David老师将“促进”列为一组很重要的“结构字”，David老师归纳出至少有“三个B、三个S”。三个B是指back, boost, bolster，这里出现的就是boost，boost可以作为动词，也可以是名词，本文中用的是名词。Back这里可不是副词，而是当动词，在后面支撑着，所以也是“支持、促进”的意思。
三个S，指的就是spur、support、stimulate, 美国职篮NBA里有一支很优秀的队伍就叫做圣安东尼奥马刺队（San Antonio Spurs），“马刺”当名词就是骑马者穿带在脚踝上用来要求马匹快跑的环，当动词就是用马刺踢马快跑的意思，用在财经新闻上就是“促进、刺激、作多”的意思。
英语新闻中提到“远景、展望”，一般是用prospect, outlook这两个字。Pro-是往前，-spect是眼睛看的意思，to look，展望就是“往前看”啰！
现在大家使用email，多半是用Outlook或是Outlook Express，为什么呢？其实Window 95以前并不叫做Outlook，而是Schedule，就是用来计划时间、行程的，Window 97以后才改为Outlook，就是让user展望其未来的意思。
