【大纪元2016年06月18日讯】英国第一位登上国际太空站的宇航员蒂姆．皮克（Tim Peake），完成186天在太空站的科学研究任务后，周六上午返回地球。
CNN网站6月18日报导，英国宇航员皮克乘坐联盟号宇宙飞船（Soyuz capsule）于周六（6月18日）上午东部标准时间5时15分，安全降落哈萨克斯坦（Kazakhstan），与他同行的还有俄罗斯宇航员尤里．马连琴科（Yuri Malenchenko）和美国宇航员蒂莫西．柯帕拉（Timothy Kopra）。
今年44岁的皮克在返回地球前推文表示：“这是多么令人难以置信的旅程，感谢在地球的各位相随。”
在太空站六个月的时间，皮克创下多个历史纪录，包括以跑步机参加伦敦马拉松赛，以3小时35分21秒成绩，刷新太空马拉松纪录，并列入吉尼斯世界纪录；另外在太空开办远程科学教学，听课的学童多达30万人。
上个月皮克接受CNN访问时说：“首次升空后不久，往下看地球，感觉很奇特，实在太壮观了。”
幼时就爱上太空的皮克表示：“还是小男孩时，我经常抬头望着星星，想了解宇宙以及太阳系，深深着迷太空世界。”
