为了得以就近亲自尝味清晨弄潮的乐趣，我们昨夜来到了海滨，住在海滨的旅社里。
躺在床上，海的歌音，始初是一曲催眠曲，从海边传来，在我耳边轻轻吟唱着，吟唱得连床铺都在我的矇眬意识中，成了一个摇篮，不停地轻摇缓荡。整夜，我把身子交给了这个摇篮，把耳朵交给了海的催眠曲，把眼睛交给了幽暝……。
当从遥远的矇眬中醒来，只觉空际已有曙光的消息在传播；海的催眠曲已唱罢，换上了一曲晨歌，节拍简短、轻快、活泼、悠扬，闻之，令身心一爽，精神振奋。
我们便在微微的曙光中奔向海边……。
一到海边，只见海面在微微的曙光中呈现着一片深色的宽大胸脯，正在一起一伏。那是海在做深呼吸吧！随着海一次又一次的深呼吸，海水便掀起一阵又一阵的海潮，在海边一起一伏，一涨一落；每一起涨，海潮便是一条白色绸缎，在微明中显得白而亮丽，然后碎没，退落，再翻掀成一阵新的海潮……。
海潮有起有伏，有涨有落，达到高潮又趋向低潮，然后又从低潮升向高潮；人生不也如此？
我们冲向海潮……。
海潮以它们白色的绸缎加在我们的双脚，我们的身上……。
海潮以它们的白色浪花，喷满我们一身，缀满我们一身……。
海潮以它们丰厚多情的双唇，亲吻遍吻我们的双脚……。
海潮以它们柔软轻灵的手，伸向我们，献给我们以轻抚……。
从海潮和我的肌肤接触时起，一股清凉便从我的肌肤，直传入我的内心深处，遍及全身，而一股舒畅也是的，还有，一股满足，一股激昂和一股愉悦……。
还有什么闷热、苦恼、烦忧？已被全部溶融殆尽，抛诸九宵云外了。
我遂和大家欢呼了起来。欢呼声中也飞溅着所有的舒畅和满足，所有的愉悦和激昂。
我们冲向海潮，又从海潮里后退，又冲向海潮，又从海潮里后退……。
力在挥发着。欢乐洋溢在各处。笑声和叫声共海潮音齐飞……。
这是一片混乱的秩序。
摔倒了，就爬起来，继续弄潮，有的人甚至干脆顺势赖在海潮里，让它浸个够，享受海潮的亲抚，双唇的亲吻……。
这里是一片混乱的秩序。水沫一再喷上人的身体。喷上人的脸……。
曙光在我们一次一次冲向海潮又从海潮后退之间，渐渐来临；逐渐地，早晨的脸出现了，太阳在东方升起来了，光明已普遍来到人间，我们便结束了这一场清晨弄潮，将所有清晨弄潮的一切还给海边，将海和海滩还给太阳，还给即将到来的热浪……。
