Watching the Waterfalls/ink and color painting
A cascading waterfall with many levels appears in the distant mountain mists. The water repeatedly lingers in a gentler-flowing section then continues its rush down the mountainside, creating a series of waterfalls. The lyrical state evoked by this painting can almost make us hear the roar of the crashing falls.
I often derive a sense of boundless joy from the painting “process.” There’s no need to have some special goals or any great thoughts (like thinking that art is “morally uplifting and edifying”) when painting. The most important thing is that the process of painting can lighten my mood, express my self, and cleanse my soul.＠
