【大紀元3月27日訊】尊敬的澳大利亞聯邦總理約翰‧霍華德和國會兩院議員：
據悉，中國總理溫家寶將於4月訪問澳大利亞。作為澳洲華人，我們寫信給你們，懇切希望你們在與溫家寶的接觸和會見中能夠談及中國極端惡劣的人權問題。最近幾年，中國人權狀況急劇惡化，其慘烈程度超出澳大利亞等西方民主國家人民的想像。
中共的國家安全特工、便衣警察、制服警察和眾多顯然由政府僱用的黑社會打手在中共中央政府的指使下大規模地使用黑手黨手段對付維權律師、政治異議人士、精神信仰人士、新聞記者、普通上訪民眾、失地農民、作家學者和社會工作者及其親友，對他們進行了空前的非人道的迫害。其手段包括光天化日之下進行暴力襲擊、綁架、私設刑堂、長期非法囚禁、酷刑、圍堵騷擾、貼身跟蹤，禁聘律師、不加審判地投入監獄，巧妙設計進行裁贓和暗殺，以及切斷通訊、進行死亡恐嚇等。中共當局對高智晟、郭飛熊等數十個著名維權律師的迫害尤其慘無人道。連律師都受盡迫害，普通民眾更是人人自危。中國高層領導和司法部門對此裝聾作啞、視而不見，媒體記者一律被割喉噤聲。中共當局的所作所為正在迅速黑社會化，法律成了廢紙，恐怖籠罩著中國大陸。
中共政府對法輪功信仰者持續6年多的迫害更是駭人聽聞，已經有3052個法輪功練習者被確認迫害致死。最近中國遼寧省瀋陽市蘇家屯法輪功集中營慘案曝光。據報導，該集中營關押了約6,000個法輪功成員，其中4000人被活體摘除所有器官，以謀取暴利。中共政府高層一反常態，迄今未公開表態或宣佈進行調查。殘存的2000人生死未卜。另外，有無數的法輪功成員正在中共監獄和勞改營中經受著酷刑、強制洗腦的煎熬，並隨時可能被奪去生命。
民主、自由、人權價值是澳大利亞的立國基石。我們不反對澳大利亞與中國發展正常的貿易往來，但認為澳大利亞的立國基石不應該因此而有所動搖。同時，我們認為澳大利亞作為一個民主自由國家向一個軍事上正在崛起的共產專制大國出口鈾礦無疑是一種短視的自殺行為。中共少將朱成虎關於中國計劃打核大戰狂言猶在耳邊迴響。一個暴力、狡詐的共產黨集團完全不可信任，冷戰時代蘇聯對西方民主國家的核戰爭威脅不應忘記。
我們呼籲霍華德總理和澳大利亞國會兩院議員本著人性和良知的理念關注中國正在發生的嚴重違反人權的事實，我們希望你們能夠：
一、 敦促中共政府立即停止對維權律師和其他異議和信仰人士的殘酷迫害；
二、 敦促中共政府立即釋放４0，000多位被關押的政治犯、良心犯和信仰人士；
三、 要求中共政府立即允許由獨立的國際權威組織對蘇家屯集中營案進行公正的調查。
四、 從澳大利亞國家安全和長遠利益出發，以負責的精神，慎重、正確地處理與共產專制中
國的政治、經濟和軍事等領域的關係。

The Honourable John Howard and MPs and Senators of the Commonwealth of Australia,
It is reported that the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will be visiting Australia in April. As Australian Chinese, we write to you, asking you to raise the issue of extremely severe human rights abuses in China during your contacts and meetings with Wen Jiabao. In the last few years, China’s human rights situation has deteriorated dramatically, to the point where it has gone beyond the worst imagination of the people from western democratic countries such as Australia.
China’s state security agents, plain-clothes and uniformed police and thugs hired by the government have been, on a large scale, resorting to evil mafia style methods to carry out unprecedented and inhumane persecution against a vast cross section of Chinese society. This includes but is not limited to: human rights lawyers, political dissidents, people with spiritual beliefs, journalists, people who appeal to higher authorities for justice, farmers who have been deprived of their land, writers and scholars, social workers and even their relatives. The abuses include violent attacks in public, kidnapping, establishing kangaroo courts, long-term illegal imprisonment, torture, containment and harassment, intimate man-to-man surveillance, being sent to prison without the presence of lawyers and any procedure of trial, skillfully designed attempts of framing and assassinating, and even cutting off communication to the outside and giving death ultimatum, etc.. The Chinese authorities’ persecution against dozens of human rights lawyers such as Mr. Gao Zhisheng and Mr. Guo Feixiong is especially inhumane. In China even lawyers are persecuted, everybody is living in terror. China’s senior leaders and judicial departments ignore such persecution as if they had never seen or heard about it. All the media remain silent and gagged. The Chinese authorities’ savage behaviors is speeding up the pace of transforming the society into a Mafia-like one; Laws in China are merely waste paper；Terror and fear enshroud the whole of mainland China.
The Chinese Regime’s persecution against Falun Gong, which has lasted over 6 years, is even more appalling. It is confirmed that 3052 Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death. Recently the Sujiatun Concentration Camp in Shenyang, China was revealed to the public. Over 6000 Falun Gong practitioners had been detained in the Sujiatun Concentration Camp, among which some 4000 have been victims of organ harvesting for transplant operations. The Chinese senior leaders have unusually remained silent and have not made any comments or declared to investigate further. The fate of the 2000 Falun Gong practitioners left is uncertain. In addition, there are over 30,000 Falun Gong practitioners still experiencing torture and forced spiritual brainwashing in the jails and labor camps of China. Their lives are at immediate risk.
The values of democracy, freedom, and human rights are the foundation of the nation of Australia. We do not oppose the Australian Government developing normal trade relations with China. However, we hold that the foundation of Australia should not be shaken. Further more, we believe that it is a short-sighted and suicidal action for a free and democratic country like Australia to export uranium to a communist totalitarian regime with a growing military strength. The Chinese Major-General Zhu Chenghu’s crazy threat of planning to launch a nuclear world war is still echoing in our ears. A brutal and sly communist regime can never be trusted.
We call upon the Honourable Prime Minister and all members of the Parliament of Australia, for the sake of the integrity of humanity and conscience, to pay attention to the facts of severe human rights abuses taking place in China. We hope you can
1. Urge the Chinese Government to stop immediately, the brutal persecution against human rights lawyers, dissidents, and people with beliefs and religion;
2. Urge the Chinese Government to release over 40,000 political dissidents, prisoners of conscience and people with beliefs and religion in jails.
3. Urge the Chinese Government to allow immediately an independent and authentic international organization to carry out a thorough investigation of the Sujiatun Concentration Camp case.
4. Handle cautiously and properly relations with the communist totalitarian government of China in the fields of politics, economy, and military cooperation, while seriously considering the responsibility of the national security and long-term interest of Australia.
