The Army Service Corps Center and College, catered to children with special needs just before the start of their national polo tournament.
就在全國馬球聯賽開始前,陸軍勤務中心學校為特殊需求的兒童們服務。

The corps lent their horses to be used for a special kind of therapy with kids.
部隊出借馬匹,用作一種對孩童的特殊治療方式。

Equine therapy, also known as horse therapy, is only a few years old in India, but it is believed to help physically challenged children, to improve their quality of life.
馬術治療,也就是把馬作為輔助工具的療法,在印度僅有數年之久,不過,據信可以幫忙身障孩童,改善他們生活的品質。

Therapist Pushpa Bopaiah has been training physically challenged children since 2000. She says the therapy helps to strengthen muscle, boosting the confidence of physically challenged children.
治療師Pushpa Bopaiah從2000年就一直訓練身障兒童。她表示這種療法有助強化肌肉,提高身障兒童的自信。

[Pushpa Bopaiah, Physiotherapist]:
“American physiotherapists have found that rhythmic movement of the horse, which is similar to human beat, the process of moving on the horse, your pelvic moves, your muscle strengthens, you gain confidence and your posture, your balance, definitely, it improves.”

Deepak says the equine therapy, has helped him improve his hip balance.

A: Improvement, hip balance then the back pain is some reducing. Before I had some back pain)

Many children have enrolled in Bopaiah’s riding sessions at the ASC Center. 許多孩童報名了Bopaiah在陸軍勤務中心的騎馬課程。
