Big Japanese manufacturers expect business conditions to worsen in the next three months.

According to a Bank of Japan (BoJ) survey data collected after the devastating March 11 earthquake, Japanese corporations are turning pessimistic, amid rolling power blackouts and a nuclear safety crisis that threatens to delay the country’s return to a moderate economic recovery.
据日本银行在3月11日毁灭性大地震后、所收集的资料，日本企业正转向悲观，在轮流限电和核能安全危机之中，威胁延缓该国重返适度的经济复苏。
The central bank’s business sentiment index for June was seen at minus two in the latest survey, down from plus three in its pre-quake survey.
最近一次调查，央行六月商业信心指数是负2，低于地震前调查的正3。
Meantime, the Japanese government continues to battle against radiation leaks from a crippled nuclear power plant, with a warning the effort could take months.
同时，日本政府持续与瘫痪的核电厂辐射外泄抗战，并警告可能需要几个月的努力。
Japan’s top government spokesman Yukio Edano says new tactics to pinpoint where radioactive water is leaking into the sea include putting colored bath salts into contaminated water.
日本最高发言人枝野幸男说，新的策略是确定放射性水外漏到海里的位置，包括放入有色浴盐到受污染的水中。
[Yukio Edano, Chief Cabinet Secretary]:
“We now put in as a tracer about 13 kilos of milky white bath salts in the seawater exhaust pipe from the vertical trench.”

Despite the pessimism, Japan’s Nikkei average advanced Monday as the yen continued to weaken against the dollar and the euro.

Yen weakness came ahead of an expected rate hike by the European Central Bank (ECB), and possible support measures for the Japanese economy from the BoJ.
日元疲软是在预期欧洲央行加息、以及来自欧洲央行(ECB)的支持措施之前。
The dollar was in the 84-yen range, up more than 10 percent from its post-World War Two record low of 76.25 yen struck last month.
1美元在84日元左右，比上个月所创下二次世界大战以来最低记录的76.25日元，还要高超过10%。

【英文说文解字】
各位读者好：
重创日本的地震、海啸与核灾，让商业环境恶化，也就是景气恶化，景气的英文是boom，“恶化”一般英文记者会使用worsen以及deteriorate 这两个字。
Worsen就是worse+ -en，-en是动词字根“使”的意思，例如strength是力量，加上-en就是strengthen“使加强”的意思。那worse是“坏”，所以worsen就是“使变坏”，因此是“使恶化”之意。类似的还很多，例如weak+-en就是使削弱的意思。Tight是“紧的”，tighten就是“使拉紧”；loose是“松的”，loosen就是“使放松”。
pre-quake survey是指地震前的调查，pre-是“之前”，那么post-disaster concerns呢？post-则是指涉after，所以是“灾后的忧虑”！ post-modern就是“后现代”之意。
另外，表示“在～之前”一般当然是before啦，可是英文记者也喜欢使用ahead of～或是prior to～同样也都是表示“在～之前”的意思喔！本则新闻中Yen weakness came ahead of an expected rate hike by ECB就是一例。
