False Bird of Paradise/ink and color painting
What kind of flower is this? I had to do a lot of searching before I found out that it is called a “false bird of paradise.”
The false bird of paradise tends to nod over. The flowers have a lovely shape, and open on the right and left in chains. The color is a striking combination of red and green. I’m always impressed by this flower, and it should look nice in a flower arrangement. The leaves really do look like banana leaves, only smaller. Here I have used an appropriately “tiny and detailed” method to describe it.
I placed these nodding false bird of paradise flowers under a large leaf, and added a pair of blue birds among a couple protruding stems. One is preening its feathers, and the other is about to fly off. The two birds are in a state of mutual communication, as if we can hear their chirps.＠
