Due to the previous attempt to escape, the ruffians guessed I was a “ringleader” and thus often dragged me out of the cell to beat me. One day, four ruffians dragged me along the floor by clutching my arms and legs, and kicked me all over with their feet in leather shoes. They dragged me into a deserted underground garage and handcuffed my hands to an iron pipe on the wall.

I stood barefoot alone on the icy floor of the garage and recited Master Li’s poems (My shoes and socks had been lost in the dragging and beating just now).

A while later, a young man in neat pale blue shirt came in. He said to me gently, “I am from the Public Security Bureau of Guangzhou. I just came to Beijing. I’ve observed you for a couple days and found you very kind-hearted.”

The genuine looks in his eyes was saying to me: He wanted to know the reason for all this.

So I began telling him my pain of the early years and my happiness after obtaining Dafa.

I talked slowly, like a brook quietly flowing…

Tears welled up in his eyes as he listened. In order to control his emotion he said to me twice, “Excuse me, I’ve got to go to the bathroom…”

Upon getting back from the bathroom for the second time, he said to me, “My status doesn’t allow me to act like this…”

He told a security guard to undo the handcuffs for me and allowed me to go back to the cell.

The next day, while the ruffians dragged me out of the cell to beat me again, and a woman in plain clothes urged him to beat me too, he gave her a very disgusted glare; he refused to beat me. With one of his arms protecting me, he walked me into the underground garage and had me call my husband with his cell phone.

Thereafter we no longer had an opportunity to talk.

I only knew his last name was Liu.

Whenever I recalled him, I said to him in my heart, “I wish you always stay kind-hearted. I wish you wouldn’t be contaminated…”
